The nationwide research and mediation project ‘Renaissance 2006’ was initiated by the department. Following this, the department’s renaissance research has been focused on the astronomer and scientist Tycho Brahe: his life, his grave in Prague and his paper mill at the island of Hven. Another project is currently being planned on Danish glass production in the Renaissance from a technological/ethno-archaeological perspective.
